Schools that Provide Real Estate Courses

Training in Prince Edward Island is provided by PEIREA. The required courses are at various locations throughout Prince Edward Island. These locations are searchable on the PEIREA website and vary depending on the date and available venues. The course takes place over a two-week period of full-time study or an eight-week of part-time study.

How to get a Real Estate Licence in Québec

Licencing Prerequisites

Before getting a license in Québec, the candidate must have the following:

  1. Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have a work licence issued by Canadian immigration authorities
  2. Be at least 18 years of age.
  3. Be able to communicate in French as verified by the OACIQ or the Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF)
  4. Completed their educational curriculum through a recognized real estate education program

 

Getting the Licence

There is a two-part licensing process in Québec:

  1. Real Estate Education Program
  2. Examination and Licensing Application

 

Part 1 – Real Estate Education Program

As of September 1, 2013, to be eligible for the licensing exam the candidate must complete a recognized real estate education program for the licence requested. Please see Schools that Provide Real Estate Courses for more information.

Part 2 – Examination and Licensing Application

Having completed a recognized real estate education program, the candidate becomes eligible to take the OACIQ examination.

If the candidate passes the exam, they have 12 months from the date the results are sent to apply for the license,

If the examination was taken in English, the candidate will need to submit proof that they meet French language requirements when applying for their license.
