British Columbia

British Columbia is the most populated province in Canada and its capital, Toronto, hosts the largest real estate market in the country. Real Estate licences here are regulated by the Real Estate Council of British Columbia (RECBC). All education and required courses that are required to obtain a licence are provided by the British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA).

To receive a Basic Licence, you are required to complete the following courses within 18 months of each other.

  1. Real Estate Trading Services Licensing Course
    1. Language Proficiency Exam prior to final exam
    2. Residential or Commercial Trading Services Applied Practice Course (offered by BCREA)

Part 2 – License Application

The Candidate must be registered in the Residential or Commercial Trading Services Applied Practice Course prior to submitting a License Application. Students may receive a license prior to finishing the course but must have it completed within six months of receiving the license.
